The lead changed hands several times in a topsy-turvy game, where a strong Donaghmoyne start fell away before half-time, with Paul and Ronan Meegan helping hosts Inniskeen lead by 0-8 to 0-6 at the interval. Paul Meegan added the first point of the second half, but the Grattans only managed one point again from their top scorer, who hit 0-6 on this occasion in the final 25 minutes, while Donaghmoyne added five points to their tally to claim a one-point win and go through to what is their seventh final between intermediate, reserve, Under-21 and minor football this year.

The weekend showed that the 3 top teams clones toome and blackhill are starting to peak for championship and can't see anyone other than the 3 teams winning it. Blackhill had a great win yesterday and seem to be coming good at the right time regardless of the league table. Clones and toome game was brilliant with clones being able to take their scores easier and both will be there or there abouts.

Double Reward Points on the Premier League
We are all looking forward to 2020 with renewed optimism. Teams from Inniskeen, Aughnamullen, Donaghmoyne plus Corduff were in attendance. Massive thanks is also extended to Bernadette Walsh , Club Development Officer and all the coaches who helped out during the 2019 season to develop juvenile football in the club. U8/U10 Blitz: Last Saturday morning the pitch in Corduff was buzzing with excitement as Corduff was one of the host clubs for the final round of the Monaghan LGFAs U8 and U10 blitzes. Thanks to all the visiting teams who attended. Lots of super skills were on display.
a daunting task to take those two and the supporting cast down.Carrick, Truagh, Blayney, Latton and Inniskeen all seem to be around the same level.. Currin have Jack. Still, can see them having a big say.The obvious winner is scotstown, perennial champions who dont really show up for football until August. Truagh have all the quality but never seem to put it together, usually have a big performance in them followed by a game spent scrapping and falling out with the ref/eachother..Doohamlet and Currin wont be causing any shocks. Doohamlet have a few serious players but they jus dont have enough quality across the board to compete. Senior championship is looking very interesting, Clontibret are back to being a dogged hard working team with the obvious attacking strategy that is impossible to stop.Ballybay seem to be getting closer to getting over their scotstown hoodoo, although their defense isnt as solid as it once was. Darren hughes will probably be back and kieran seems to be over his injury troubles.. Carrick missed their big chance last year due to some cowardly officiating, we all know what happened in clontibret that day..... Blayney arent going well but are a championship team who can turn it on on the big day. Latton and Inniskeen are hardy teams who are hard to beat but are probably slightly short on quality.
